Nothing says fall quite like a mommy and me Flagstaff photography session. Jill and I had been planning this for years. (Yes, I said years 🙂 ) Ethan was pretty much a baby when we were first talking about heading north to Flagstaff. After last year’s fun mommy and me session, we knew that the following year Ethan would be the perfect age for this destination photography session. Jill was already planning a weekend trip up to Flagstaff and we were able to coordinate our schedules. As moms we don’t always get to be in pictures with our family. Having a mommy and me photography session allows for moms to get into the pictures while experiencing joy and create new memories.
On the day of our session, I encouraged Jill to get ready at my place. That way she didn’t have to entertain her sweet three-year-old while trying to apply eye makeup. During that time, Ethan and I played in the pretend kitchen, the little toy barn and with the cars. We talked about how much fun we were going to have during the session and why we were taking photographs with mommy. This additional time spent with Ethan allowed for him to get in the mood for pictures too. During our session, Ethan was so excited having his picture taken. As we were heading to our second location, he stopped me and asked me to take more photographs of him. We spent an additional 10 minutes with Ethan hamming it up for the camera. (I am already planning on meeting Jill, Rolo, and Ethan at their home to play before our next family session.)
Jill and Ethan, I am loving our new fall tradition of mommy and me photographs. Being able to witness and capture your bond is why serving moms like you is so important. Jill, I love that you are collecting these printed memories with the intention of passing them down to Ethan.
