Three months ago I set out a list of goals for the year. I did it as a birthday post. In an attempt to keep myself accountable, I thought I would check in and let you know how I am doing. First of all, I am happy to report I am still trying to meet my goals. I have officially been in front of the camera more in the last three months than I have in the last three years. (I am pretty sure this is true.) My confidence has grown leaps and bounds. Bonus: my husband is learning more about photography and my daughters as well. Here are my 2018 goals: 3 month follow up!
Goal recap:
- My goal of reading ten books is happening, but I am adding podcasts to my list. I cannot believe how much information is out there, waiting for our consumption, if we would just listen.
- I could be doing a better job with stretching and exercising. In the summer we do a lot of swimming, but I could take more time to stretch and run a little on the treadmill.
- Full disclosure I could be eating better. I mean, sugar is delicious. So is In-N-Out Burger!
- My husband and I are planning date night…soon, we still need more of this!
- With school out for the summer, the kids are staying up later, giving us more time to hang out and catch up with each other. Yay!
- Summer also helps with spending more time with the kids. It also means my work schedule is thrown off, but they are only little once! PS Thank you for understanding if your email gets answered at night after they go to bed.
- Sydney is starting dance in the fall…she thinks. Zach is still pretty little, but his personality comes out daily.
- Lauren fulfilled her dream of trying out for dance company last month. We find out in a few months which group she will dance with.
- My plan was to randomly text 2-4 friends a month and let them know I was thinking of them. I know I am not hitting this goal, but I am not missing it entirely either! I need to add this to my weekly to-dos!
- New products for the fall are coming! I cannot wait to share these with clients and have them use these great products in their homes!
- I’ve completed about 12 hours of new professional training- eighteen hours to go!
- A few things that scare me: reaching out to other businesses and being rejected, public speaking, and publicly sharing what scares me. All items I want to accomplish sometime in the next year!
I will be checking back in with you all in September!
